I am an artist who has been trapped in realism for some time now, I don’t think I will ever escape it entirely, but I’m currently enjoying being more experimental with my work.
 
I love playing with texture on wooden panels, using filler and a knife I created these shapes that could be waves, but they remind me of a feathered wing that is splashing in the water.
 
I left the colour palette very simple with mostly blues and white.
 
A medium sized piece at 67.5 cm wide x 54 cm tall, the panel itself is approximately 9 mm deep but the artwork is a further 1 cm deep in places.
 
Currently unframed, and could be hung on the wall as it is, but I think a simple white floating frame would set the piece off.
 
It will be signed on the back and securely packaged for transit.
