Cobweb is such a cute little horse. He came to me with no original paint, just yellow with grey spots and dark grey underneath. and was covered in... you guessed it... cobwebs!
 
Although I can't put an exact date on him, we know JR Smith traded in London from 1886 until 1916, meaning this horse is certainly over 100 years old.
 
His original stand was quite badly damaged, so I decided to replace it. He has brand new paintwork, which I've given an aged look, real horsehair mane and tail and calf skin tack.
 
He measures just 33" (84 cm) to the highest point of his neck, with a 17" body length. His stand is 37.5" (95 cm) long by 14" (36 cm) wide.
 
He would be perfect as a display piece, but I'm sure would be happy to have a gentle child sit on him occasionally.
