This is Blue, even though he's not! He was originally black, but I kept his name all the same.
 
The humble medium Haddon, I absolutely love this model. Based on an Ayres D Type, they have such a wonderful shape. I painted him in a soft rose grey, which almost looks like a pale buckskin, this is possibly my favourite colour so far! He has a beautiful soft horsehair mane and tail, in a dark brown/grey mix with light tips. I think he looks like a Hispano Arab, so decided to give him traditional Doma Vaquera tack, which is fully removable.
 
The saddle was custom made by a master saddler, and he has a beautiful, hand woven scarf to match.
 
He measures 43" (110cm) tall to his highest point, and his stand is 50" (127cm) long  x 16" (41cm)  wide 
 
Being fiberglass, he also has the advantage of being very strong, and heat resistant, these ones don't have gesso to fail, or joints to become loose and crack.
