I was privileged to work on this wonderful antique Ayres horse, slightly unusual that although he is a plain carved horse, he has the original removable tack that is usually reserved for the D type horses. He came initially for a quick spruce up, I didn't recognise him as an Ayres until he arrived and luckily for me, the owners agreed to let me resore him to something more original to his maker.
