Fish

Large White

Large White

A peaceful fantail going about his daily business, I love the way fish make everything seem so effortless. I'm very pleased with the contrast between the deep blues and greens of the background and the brightness of the fish. Acrylic on board in a white frame Works very well as part of a set with "Into The Vortex" and "Reflecting" Actual size 62 cm x 43 cm x 0.6 cm (approx 24" x 17") Framed size 73 c x 54 cm x 2 cm (28"x 21" x 1/2") sold

Into The Vortex

Into The Vortex

In their iconic formation, these fish are circling toward the light through the deep blue green water. I started with the background and loved the colour and the feeling of depth it gave. I almost left it as an abstract piece, but something told me to be brave and add the fish, which I am so pleased I did. The name was inspired by the teachings of Abraham Hicks, who I love to listen too. looking at this piece really does brighten my day, I hope it does you too For sale

Reflecting

Reflecting

The third of my deep blue green fish paintings. This little fantail pops to the surface to breathe and reflect. A very peaceful scene that works well as a set with "In The vortex" and "Large White" Acrylic on board in a white frame Sold

Fish Pond Table 3

Fish Pond Table 3

A modern take on my original table This big black table with natural elm top and feet was crying out to be a fish pond. I used an almost black background to the painting with some colourful pebbles. Cool Of The Pool

Cool Of The Pool

Expanding on my Pond fish series, " The Cool Of The Pool" has more depth and slightly more detail than some of it's predecessors. I used dark glazes over the brightly coloured pebbles to set them back and provide a strong contrast with the bright colours of the koi. The position and colour of the fish are never planned, so i find great pleasure in watching the painting evolve in front of me. I found a lovely hand carved rustic wooden frame that I think sets the painting off perfectly.
